In 2004, Basic Engineering, Inc. was founded in Tampa, Florida and since then, it has provided civil and construction engineering services to residential and commercial clients throughout the state of Florida.
Basic Engineering, Inc. has also provided civil and construction engineering services to the State of Florida and the Federal government.

Leadership
Justin James P. E. – President & CEO
With more than 17 years experience as a civil engineer, Justin James serves as the company’s president and chief executive officer. Mr. James professional experience includes being the chief engineer for more than 1,500 construction and engineering projects across the State of Florida. When Justin isn’t leading the company, his passions are youth education.

Matthew Sheridan
Mr. Hewitt is the company’s chief geologist and has performed over 3,000 subsidence investigations and assisted in over 750 subsidence investigations for insurance companies, public adjusters, attorneys, homeowners, private businesses, and government agencies. Mr. Hewitt cares deeply about the environment and is active in his community with environmental projects.

Sawan Patel – Senior Engineer
Mr. Patel is the company’s chief engineer and his responsibilities at the company include managing construction and remediation of residential, commercial and government projects throughout Florida, Mr. Patel is a graduate of the University of South Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Patel enjoys being active in environmental projects around Florida.
